Thanks for being interested enough in BLOOD DEBT to want to know more. I have both a little and a lot that you might be interested in.
As for the book itself, it’s going through some extensive editing so that I’m comfortable releasing it into the world. That should be completed within the next couple of weeks. Someone once said that a work of art is never completed, only abandoned, and now I know what they meant.
The book will be available first as an e-book on Amazon. If you have a Kindle or a Kindle-friendly app, you should be okay. I’m still looking at how I want to handle print copies, but they definitely will be available at some point, hopefully sooner rather than later.
What’s the book about?
The story in the book is about what I consider regular people. This particular group live on the edge of the mainstream, but you likely know someone similar to some of my characters.
The story is violent. Quentin Tarantino, Pulp Fiction violent It’s a story about criminals, so it will get rough at times. I try to warn readers with gentler dispositions ahead of time so they won’t go into shock when they read it. So brace yourself.
What’s next?
My goal is to write a series of novels set in the same universe. There may be some overlap of characters, but they won’t be sequels in the normal sense of the word. Events in one book may occur before or after events in another one.
I know, and am interested in, the Llano Estacado, so that’s the setting I plan for the stories. I’m not sure if they’ll be classified as “crime” novels, or “suspense,” or what, but I plan for them all to be in the same genre.
Hopefully you’ll read BLOOD DEBT, enjoy it, want to read other stories like it, and mention my work to other readers who might like such stories. Let me tell you, this is a new adventure for you and me both.
